Types of Parrots

There are several types of parrots, each with their own unique characteristics and habitats. Many people keep parrots as pets, and different types of parrots are known for their intelligence and ability to mimic human speech. Some of the most popular types of parrots include macaws, African grey parrots, cockatoos, and senegal parrots. Each type of parrot breed has its own distinct personality and within those breeds each parrot has it's own personality.

Two of the parrots listed, the macaw and the cockatoo are my favorite. As a child my family owned a macaw. She was a beautiful bird, but would only allow my Dad to go n
ear her, touch her, or even pick her up. The bird I would like to get in the future is a cockatoo. They are very intelligent and have a great personality. They can be pretty loud and some have even been known to throw temper tantrums like little kids. I still find them interesting and would love to have one as a pet.
